Motorcycle Internal Twist Clutch Device for Left Side Grips

This motorcycle internal twist clutch device fits inside any 1″ motorcycle handlebars and the clutch cable will be routed inside the handlebars for a super-clean look. Our Motorcycle Internal Twist Clutch Device is identical to our Motorcycle Internal Throttle Device, but it features a reversed spiral, so it can be operated with your left side grip to pull a cable. The internal twist clutch must be used in conjunction with our Master Cylinder with Lever or Master Cylinder with Lever and Billet Reservoir. Our Internal Twist Clutch Device works perfectly with our 3D Internal Throttle Grips, Chopper Grips, Super Smooth Chrome Motorcycle GripsKnurled Brass Motorcycle Grips, Knurled Custom Motorcycle Grips and Vintage Motorcycle Grips.

I have a deformity in my left hand that prevents me from using the lever-style clutch found on many bikes. I’m actually interested in purchasing a motorcycle for the first time (I have never ridden due to my disability) and am looking for alternatives to clutch levers.

Would these twist clutches work on super sport bikes such as the Yamaha R6/ Honda CBR 600RR?

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

We designed our internal twist clutch for Harley Davidson’s, which have pretty heavy clutches.
We never tried using it on sportbikes, so we cannot tell for sure, but it should work fine.

Please note that our internal twist clutch is for 1″ diameter handlebars, while most sportbikes have 7/8″ (22mm) handlebars.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Hi there. Calling from the UK. Could you please answer a couple of questions? My husband has a 1340 shovel – would this be suitable? Also, do you make them for 1 1/4″ bars? Looking forwards to your reply. Jen.

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

Yes, our twist clutch can fit on your Harley Shovel, no problem.
Normally 1-1/4″ handlebars step down to 1″ in the grips area, so also that should not be a problem.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

We never tried installing our twist clutch on a V Star 1100 Classic, but if you have 1″ diameter bars and 1″ diameter grips, we do not see why it should not fit.

Just seeing if this requires a different cable to stock or any mods to the clutch? Evo Harley, 1988 Softail.
Thanks

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

The stock cable will not work with our twist clutch.
You would need to use a 1.5mm (0.05”) / 2mm (0.07”) cable (like a throttle cable).

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Hi guys

You say this needs to be used with your master cylinder, but what if your not using an hydraulic clutch!, how would it work then, has I’m guessing it would be very stiff

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

Yes, you are correct it would be too hard to twist without an hydraulic clutch.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Hi

can this be used on a 4 speed shovel without converting to a hydraulic clutch, the cable set yup requires some force to operate the clutch, will your internal spiral be able to provide the required force. O have read of peaple not being able to twist the grip hard enough to operate the clutch

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

We reccomend not using our motorcycle internal twist clutch with a cable clutch because it would be very hard to twist.
But we have had several customers using it with cable clutches…

For sure the best application is in conjunction with an hydraulic clutch and our Motorcycle Master Cylinder with Lever and Billet Reservoir.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Hello, I have a Suzuki Boulevard C90 1500, will the twist clutch work on it.

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

Sorry, but we never tried installing our twist clutch on a Suzuki Boulevard C90 1500.
It has been designed to work with Harley type clutches and we never had a chance to try it on other motorcycle brands.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.

Thanks for getting back with me, last question, is there a twist clutch system that will work on an Suzuki Boulevard C90 1500, will the twist clutch work on it.

Hello,

Sorry, but we are not aware of any twist clutch made for metric bikes in general.
Probably the Harley ones would work, but we never tried so we cannot tell for sure.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

Can the twist clutch work with a cable operated Honda VT750c 1999? The clutch handle is reasonably light but my wife’s fingers have no strength.Perhaps a throttle assist in palm of hand could be used to exert extra strength. If a diiferent diameter handle bar would be required the bike could be converted.

Would appreciateadvice.

hi …. what kind of cable is needed …. do you have a part # that is used with you clutch grip …… I thought there is a easy pull set up to help the twist clutch..do you know anything about that …..thanks

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle internal twist clutch.

There is no specific cable for the twist clutch device. Throttle cables are too small and regular clutch cables are too big.
There are on the market some aftermarket cables used for motorcycle brakes, which are in between regular throttle cables and regular clutch cables. We suggest to use the ones of about 2mm diameter, which can be easily routed through the handlebars but are also strong enough.

Yes, there are some devices that facilitate cable clutch pulling. A very good one is the Muller Power Clutch. You can find several on Google.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Regards.
