On your remote master cylinder that are cable operated do you have them with the resivore on top ? I know they make them but can’t find a USA seller if so how much and the part number. Thank you John

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ motorcycle master cylinders.

All the seals are designed to be used with non-silicon based oils: DOT 4, DOT 5.1 or DOT 5.2.
So you shouldn’t use DOT 5.

On the other hand 90% of our customers use DOT 5 brake fluid. In some cases we have seen seals had to be replaced after 1 year, in other cases there were no problems at all. We came to the conclusion that this largely depends on the brand of oil used, but we have not able to identify the “good” brands.

Therefore we are sticking with the seals’ manufactuerer recccomendation not to use DOT 5.

I read that you recommend DOT4 brake fluid, but will DOT5 work without compromising the seal integrity?
