Yes, they are weather proof.
We have been selling the universal push buttons for the past 12 years and never had problems due to water getting on them.

I was wondering if they are weather proof and how well have they held up so far?

You would need to get the wires outside the bars, solder them and then push the extra wiring inside the bars.

In any case I am sure a lot of customers solder the wires prior to screwing in the buttons and we never heard back from anybody about wires being cut off from buttons.

I don’t understand how to screw in the button prior to soldering.

How do you solder the wires inside the handlebars? It won’t be any room for the iron to get in there.

Do you have any pictures or videos that demonstrate this process?
I am interested in these things.

You would need one relay for each switch.
Normally the relay is needed only for the high beam function.
