  9. Ed Harnage says:

How do the buttons operate? Do they stay on as long as you hold the button, or is it one push to turn on and a second push to turn off?

  10. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents Motorcycle Push Buttons.

All of our motorcycle push buttons are momentary switches (they stay on as long as you hold the button).
To convert them to ON/OFF switches you need to use our Motorcycle Switch Relay.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

  11. Roger says:

And how does the high low headlight work with the these buttons? I know about the relay but just wanted clarification on the the high low function.

  12. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents Stainless Steel Push Buttons.

Once you have installed our Motorcycle Switch Relay the button will work as an ON/OFF button. Basically you push the button once and the high-beam will turn on, you push it again and it will go back to low beam.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

  14. Adriano says:

Hi, do you ship this to Portugal?

  15. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ Universal Push Buttons.
Sorry for the later reply, but we did not get some comment notifications from the website…

We never tried using the Universal Push Buttons for cruise control function, but cannot think of any reason why they shouldn’t work for that purpose.

Hi there. Are these only available as momentary switch or are they also available as latched switches?

  18. eurocomponents says:

    Our motorcycle switches are momentary.
To convert them to ON/OFF switches you will need our relay, which is sold separately:

  21. Jugu says:

How do I put these on my handlebar? Do I have to grill then insert them? If so, how do I tighten the nut from the inside of the handlebar.

    Thank you

  22. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ universal push buttons.

Yes, you need to drill and tap the handlebars.

Drill the handlebars with a 9/32″ drill bit (.2813 decimal inches), then use an M8x1.0 tap. If you have troubles finding a metric tap, you can use a 5/16-24 tap, which is the closest to the metric one.

You do not use the nut when mounting them on bars, but just put a drop of blue Loctite on the threads.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

  23. Rocks says:

This looks like the cleanest it gets, but just wondering about one thing.

When you insert the wires inside the handlebars then starting to screw in the push button, isn’t there a risk of having the wires twisted then cut off from the button.

    thank you

  24. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ universal push buttons.

You need to screw in the push button prior to soldering the wires.
In this way you can straighten the wires from where they come out from the bars.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

  25. John Ireland says:

Hi, if I want to use each switch as am on off switch, do I need a relay for each switch, or will one relay do the job?
    Thanks, John

  26. eurocomponents says:

Thank you for your interest in Eurocomponents’ universal push buttons.

You would need one relay for each switch.
Normally the relay is needed only for the high beam function.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.

  27. Rocks says:

I don’t understand how to screw in the button prior to soldering.

How do you solder the wires inside the handlebars? It won’t be any room for the iron to get in there.

Do you have any pictures or videos that demonstrate this process?
I am interested in these things.

    Thank you

  28. eurocomponents says:

You would need to get the wires outside the bars, solder them and then push the extra wiring inside the bars.

In any case I am sure a lot of customers solder the wires prior to screwing in the buttons and we never heard back from anybody about wires being cut off from buttons.

Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Thank you and have a good day.
